Council is drafting a management plan for the Kent Gardens, Green Play Point and Yachett Reserves, Soldiers Point. These sites have been identified as a remnant pockets of Littoral Rainforest. Considered critically endangered due to its severely fragmented geographic distribution, this type of rainforest currently occurs in small and isolated patches along the coast of NSW.

The project aims to improve resilience and connectivity as well as educate the community on the importance of these ecological significant areas.
