Project overview
We recently partnered with Raymond Terrace Lions Club to replace picnic tables and install shade shelters at Riverside Park, Raymond Terrace. Now, we're working with them to install shade sails on the existing playground, which currently has no protection from the sun and weather.
Riverside Park is an important area for Raymond Terrace, already providing a large BBQ area, sheltered picnic tables, toilets, paved walking trail and a playground area. Providing Shade Sails over the playground will enable it to be used year-round by protecting it from the sun, making it a more attractive park for parents and caregivers to visit.
Works will include:
- Construction of a 10m x 10.5m shade area on four posts with a concrete footing 600mm x 1.5m.
- During the works, parts of the park may be
fenced off, and there'll be some noise disruptions. A crane will be used
to install shade sail poles, and a skip bin will be on site for soil
removal.
