The upgrade to Tomaree Road is funded by the $10M NSW state election commitment to improve roads around Port Stephens.

The road rehabilitation was completed from Verona Road to Messines Street and included:

• Kerb and gutter replacement where required and minor driveway adjustments where new kerb and gutter are constructed.
• Road pavement reconstruction.
• Minor drainage repairs.

Kerb ramps have been constructed as part of the project for a future footpath on the western side of Tomaree Road.
