This road project is designed to improve road conditions and safety for drivers. We will import over 3000 tonnes of material that will be compacted and sealed. There will also be some minor table drain maintenance to assist with directing stormwater away from the pavement in the future.

This first section of works (marked in red in map below) was funded via the Regional and Local Road Repair Program via Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and was completed in 2023.

The second section of works is due to begin in April 2024 (marked in green in map below).

During construction, the road will be closed at times with detours in place - essential services can still access the road eg buses, mail, parcel, garbage and resident access.

The works are part funded by the $10M local road repairs funding provided by NSW State Government, to repair local roads within the Port Stephens local government area over the next 2 financial years.
