Project Description

As part of our successful Special Rate Variation application, we'll invest in several road re-seals and rehab. Phillip St, Raymond Terrace, has been earmarked for some of this funding. Phillip St is a residential road in Raymond Terrace that has experienced multiple pavement failures over the years with deep lift asphalt patches used to repair.

Aims and objectives

  • To improve the condition of existing road assets and improve safety for all road users.
  • To improve road composition (road rehab)

Road rehabilitation will take place on Phillip Street between No. 2 and No. 56. The rehabilitation work will involve repairing damaged concrete curbs and gutters, stabilising the existing pavement, and installing an asphalt surface.

The project will be carried out in two stages: Stage 1 will focus on the concrete curb and gutter repairs, starting in March 2025. Stage 2 will involve pavement rehabilitation and asphalting, scheduled for May and June 2025.

Road rehabilitation will occur between No. 2 and No. 56 on Phillip St. Rehabilitation works will include repair of damaged concrete kerb and gutter, stabilizing the existing pavement, and installing and asphalt wearing surface.

The project will be delivered in two stages; Stage 1 will be the concrete kerb and gutter works which will commence in March 2025, and Stage 2 will include pavement rehabilitation and asphalting which will occur in May/June 2025.
