Project overview
Thank to NSW Government funding, we're undertaking works on Fairlands Road, Medowie between Lisadell and Ferodale Roads.
This road forms a parallel access into the township and is an important public and school bus route. The current road is of poor quality with numerous potholes and deformations and requires significant ongoing maintenance. The narrow nature of the road combined with its poor condition also poses a high safety risk.
The road is a major connecting access road to the main town of Medowie, allowing better access to local schools, medical services, recreational facilities, and community centres from the surrounding township as well as the newer nearby residential and rural estates. The road is also an essential public bus and school bus route. The improved road safety and reduced travel times resulting from upgrading the existing road will benefit the greater community.
Aims and Objectives:
- To improve the condition of existing road and improve safety for all road users.
- To improve pavement/shoulder width (where possible)
