Project overview

This project, approved by the NSW Independent Planning Commission in July 2020, will provide a safe and convenient route for pedestrians and cyclists.

The $4 million project is funded by Hanson Construction Materials Pty Ltd as part of the Voluntary Planning Agreement with Port Stephens Council, which was endorsed at the ordinary Council meeting on Tuesday 11 June 2024.

The works include:

  • Construction of shared path along the western side of Brandy Hill Drive stretching approximately 4.4km and offering a generous 2.1 meters of width.
  • Design and installation of permanent bus stops, enhancing public transport accessibility.

Work will commence in mid-July at the Seaham Road intersection and is scheduled to take approximately 35 weeks, weather permitting.
