A full road reconstruction and road widening has been completed at the Avenue of the Allies, between Poilus Parade and King Albert Avenue, Tanilba Bay.

Council secured funding from the NSW Government's Fixing Local Roads program and Federal Government funding from Local Road Community Infrastructure Grant and Roads to Recovery to help fund this project.

The project included the following:

  • Road reconstruction and widening, from Lemon Tree Passage Road roundabout to King Albert Avenue.
  • Road widening including road shoulders and line marking.
  • A flush kerb installation in the road pavement edge, with some kerb and guttering as required by drainage design.
  • Roadside open drains were retained and reshaped to maximize stormwater infiltration into the natural ground.
  • Intersections formalised with kerb returns.
  • Minor adjustments to the shared path area for the new kerb installation.
