We’re in the process of updating the Port Stephens Pathways Plan. It’s a strategic guide for how we plan, prioritise and fund new footpaths and shared pathways across our region.
Pathways connect our community. They help people walk or cycle safely to schools, shops, parks, and public transport. They support healthy, active lifestyles and more liveable, inclusive neighbourhood. They are also better for the environment, reducing car trips, easing congestion, and cutting down emissions.
The updated Pathways Plan will reflect current community needs and improve how Council decides which projects are delivered first. It also helps us apply for external funding and guide development to make sure our growing community stays well connected.
Want to have your say in person?
This is your opportunity to shape the future of pathways in Port Stephens. Your input is crucial to help us refine the draft Pathways Plan and its criteria, ensuring it meets the needs and priorities of our community.
Help us build a more connected Port Stephens. Share your thoughts and ideas on where new pathways are needed, how existing ones can be improved, and what criteria should guide future development.
We will be hosting workshops so we can hear directly from you about your local pathway priorities.
We’d also like your feedback on the draft methodology we use to prioritise pathways projects across the region.
