Smart Skilled and Hired
Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this link24 Apr 2019The Smart Skilled and Hired program is for Youth from ages to 15-24, who are not currently participating in employment services and are not working more than 27 hours per week. The program aim to assist in finding work and education as well as helping them overcome any barriers to employment that may exist.
The program can also assist in finding work experience and can cover expenses such as public transport fares, petrol, uniforms and footwear as well as training courses.

Location: Mallabula Hall
Dates: Mondays May 13th to June 24th (weekly for 8 weeks).
Times: 9.30am-11:30 pm
Who should attend: Parents, Carers, and Grand Parents.

A light morning tea will be provided. If you are interested or would like information please call.

The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

Specifically this involves the development, implementation and evaluation of key strategic documents, policy and programs in areas including youth, disability and inclusion, Indigenous programs, arts and culture, events and grants.
What you need:
- Tertiary qualification in social sciences, humanities or a related field, or extensive relevant experience
- Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating community or cultural development programs
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing community priorities
- Ability to communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to business improvement and innovation

Their website is an online hub for parenting and early learning information and helps people to find events in their local area, sign up to online courses and access parenting resources.
The site also contains best practice resources like Love Talk Sing Read Play and Deadly Tots that give you the latest evidence-based information on children’s emotional and social development.
Adding your event is easy and it’s free. All you need to do is head to the Resourcing Parents website and click on the ‘Add Event/Login’ tab.
It’s a good idea to add your event to their site now, before the new website is launched to maximise the amount of exposure your event will have.

Men's Health Extravaganza Friday 10 May
Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this link17 Apr 2019The Australian Mens Shed Association (AMSA) are teaming up with the TUROOL KORE Indigenous Men’s Group to hold a 1 day Men’s Health “Extravaganza” on Friday May the 10th, 10am to 3pm, on the Newcastle Foreshore and we are inviting related health networks and/or special interest groups to come along to enjoy and participate!
The event will be held under the Newcastle Tram Sheds so there is plenty of room for all and we are looking for relevant exhibitors to come and set up a space and/or display of any type to promote good health and wellbeing.
There will be plenty of entertainment, celebrities and media around the event so it will be a great opportunity to meet n greet, interact and gain ongoing support for your group/organisation.
