Are you an Aboriginal School student currently in Year 10 and planning to continue through to Year 12 to complete your HSC? If you want to contribute to the service Hunter New England Health provides to their patients and your local community, this could be an opportunity for you to come and be part of our community and start your career whilst undertaking a 2 year Administration School Based Traineeship.

Administration is an important part in delivering quality patient care. Your role as a School Based Trainee will involve providing frontline administrative support to clinical and health professional staff including customer service, data entry, typing, records maintenance, answering the phone and filing. You will also learn how to use software applications used specifically in the Health care environment.

You will be working under the direction and leadership of a nominated Supervisor / Manager, who will encourage and support your skills and knowledge development in the delivery of quality customer service. Your team will include administration staff and clinical and health professionals.

There are multiple opportunities available across our District, with our staff situated across over 60 sites of hospitals, community health centres and corporate offices. Please specify your preferred facility/location when applying online.
