Tell me more about the photo competition

This competition is aimed at young people of Port Stephens contributing to the development of the Port Stephens Youth Plan.

The competition begins on 15 September 2019 and ends 21 October 2019.

It is open to young people aged between 12 and 24.

All entries must be received via the online site www.haveyoursay.portstephens.nsw.gov.au/participate

To enter the competition, participants must upload a photograph and 'pin' the location and agree to enter competition by selecting 'yes'.

A person/persons must NOT be recognisable in photographs in the competition without the prior approval of that person/persons.

You can enter as many times as you like. However, only one photo can be uploaded at a time.

The winning photo in each of the six categories will win the prize: one Visa card gift card to the value of $50. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

A panel will select the winning photos.

Winners will be notified by email. The names and details of winners may be publicly released.

Your photo entry, whether a winning photo or not, may be used as part of, or for the future promotion of, Port Stephens Youth Plan 2020-2022.

I'm having problems with this participating on this site. Who can help me?

Please contact the Community Development and Engagement unit via Council's main customer service line and ask for Liz, Dom, Jim, Amber or Jen. Or if you prefer use the Ask a Question function on this site and we will get back to you asap.

Alternatively you can try some quick fixes as follows:

  • Try using a desktop computer rather than a mobile device.
  • Try accessing the site via Google chrome rather than Windows explorer.

About Port Stephens Youth Advisory Panel

The Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) is a project of Port Stephens Council and YAP members are keen to get young people from the community involved in a range of activities and events. YAP really wants to hear from you what issues are most important.

The Young People of Port Stephens 'HAVE YOUR SAY' page is one way the YAP and council will connect with local youth. If you keep up to date with this page you will get to see information about up coming events and activities, and the chance to share your ideas and opinions via survey's and other tools.
